in the state of illinois, how long does child support contine as long as the child is in school? (the child turns 18 next week but will be attending college in the fall while living at home.) THe father will not be paying for any of the college tuition.

I have a child soon to reach emanicipation. He will still be living at home with me (custodial parent) and going to school full-time locally. Can i get child support extended beyond 18.

In Illinois, I believe that the court may can order the noncustodial parent to share some college expenses. I’m not 100% sure about this because state laws do change. If I were you I’d use the question box at the top of the page as this is a rather important issue, and, I want for you to have a certain answer.
good luck
