I have recently lost a custody case in England where my ex wife was granted custody of my 2 daughters.
She had previously surrendered her custodial rights years earlier to settle in America with a man she met on the internet and then decided after 2 years she wanted the children back.
Of course there is history between both parties but I feel that on my behalf all my bad points were highlighted and none of hers.
We had a guardian ad litem for the case and we were told a week before the final case that the girls would be staying with us, this guardian got on the stand and changed his mind without telling his own barrister.
He informed the girls he had changed his decision and the youngest of my daughters begged him not to send her back to America, sorry, at this point I must tell you that I had to send the girls out on a 4 week holiday in August 2006 and she refused to send them home.
I had to apply for a return on a Hague convention Act and it took 11 months, the American courts didnt hesitate in sending them back to me after hearing the girls wishes and hours of evidence.
All of the time they were abducted my youngest daughter toldher teachers at the school she was illeglly enrolled into that she wanted to be home with her dad. The older one was unsure of her desires, but since her return to America she is vry sure of what she wants and that is to be back with us.
Now the girls have been ordered to be returned to America we have had some contact with them, and what contact we have had has been very upsetting.
The girls are begging us to get them back, we have no idea what we can do. They are so upset at being taken away from us, I have msn convos and emails in which they say they are unhappy.
Can you advise me on what I could do to make them happier. Im desperate to help my girls.
During contact this weekend their mother pulled the computer off them and then shouted that she would get them tickets back if thats what they wanted, surely this is emotional abuse.
