That Fathers Rights Movement is pathetic. You want me to blog again. Start linking here. Start linking to Prince Daddy. Until then, I’m done.

Don’t bother me posting your questions in comments. No. If nobody’s going to do anything to get this blog more popular…don’t bother me with your question comments. If you have a question, use the question box at the top of the page.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (CNN) – A minister delivering the invocation at John McCain’s rally in Davenport, Iowa Saturday told the crowd non-Christian religions around the world were praying for Barack Obama to win the U.S. presidential election.

“There are millions of people around this world praying to their god—whether it’s Hindu, Buddha, Allah—that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons. And Lord, I pray that you will guard your own reputation, because they’re going to think that their God is bigger than you, if that happens,” said Arnold Conrad, the former pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Davenport.

The remark was made before McCain arrived at the rally but the Republican nominee’s campaign quickly put out a statement distancing itself from the remarks.

“While we understand the important role that faith plays in informing the votes of Iowans, questions about the religious background of the candidates only serve to distract from the real questions in this race about Barack Obama’s judgment, policies and readiness to lead as commander in chief,” said McCain campaign spokesperson Wendy Riemann.

This incident comes a day after a Minnesota voter asked Senator McCain if Barack Obama was an Arab at a town hall in Lakeville, Minnesota and just three days after Lehigh GOP County Chairman Bill Platt made a speech at a McCain rally in Pennsylvania where he refered to the Democrat nominee for president as Barack Hussein Obama.

I swear…I’ve never seen anything like this before! This is absolutely fascinating! No one’s ever seen anything like this before. I just saw on the news a scene today in which Senator McCain was in one of his town hall meetings. A woman stood before McCain, and, she was saying something about how you can’t trust Obama…and, how…. how…. how… “he’s an… Arab!”

McCain took the microphone from her and said (paraphrase), “No, he’s a decent family man citizen who I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues…he’s not… thank you”

And, the crowd booed McCain. McCain’s supporters booed him.

And, later, “He is a decent person and a person who you don’t have to be scared as President of the United States.”

And, more booing!

So, let’s get this straight. Palin as the McCain surrogate stirs up the racism…stirs up the idea that somehow Obama’s not a real American…how he’s not an American like us…how he has “terrorist associations” and, when their supporters internalize the germ of the message that they’re putting out there…McCain backs away from it.

But, he had to. Because, at root, McCain just isn’t corrupt enough to see the plan through to its conclusion. I’m not going to tell you that McCain is a great guy…but, he’s not corrupt enough to follow through with the evil scheme.

McCain created a monster that’s raging beyond his control…and, he doesn’t like the looks of the monster.

Fascinating. I’m happy to be alive and witnessing this history.

Last night Senator McCain referred to Senator Obama as “that one.”

Now, let’s forget for a sec about how Senator Biden is certainly not a good candidate for fathers and about how, from all early appearances, Senator Obama doesn’t appear like he’s going to be much better.

Let’s just get down to the most basic level. Last night two men got together and a lot of people watched. They got together in America. A land where, not terribly long ago, men who looked like Senator McCain physically owned men who looked like Senator Obama. And, a land where currently the Republican party (largely through Sarah Palin following her orders) is attempting to cast Obama as “the other,” unpatriotic, and, even an Islamic terrorist!

I only wish that I were making this up. So, given the context of history and the current political reality, when you don’t look at your opponent and gesture a finger as you’re calling him “that one”…well, yes, that does cause pause. You refer to objects and things as “that one.” Interesting to note that for a very long time in America black folks were thought of as objects, animals, or, let’s just say…less-than-human.

It is reasonable to be troubled by McCain’s treatment of Senator Obama. The “that one” remark simply encapsulates and stays true to the whole, disturbing larger context.

Next time why not try this: Senator Obama.

She’s too pretty.

She’s too confident.

She could embarrass us.

The most interesting on the list is the first one. I can only really comment on my observations as an American in American society; but, I will definitely say that I’ve spent my whole life watching women get jealous of other women. I don’t know whether this is cultural or innate or whatever…but, I’ve even seen my little daughter eyeball other girls her age…in a way that seems a little too sophisticated for her four years! The author says about the pretty stuff:

This is very bad news. At school, pretty girls tend to be liked only by other pretty girls. The rest of us, whose looks hover somewhere around underwhelming, resent them and whisper archly of their “unearned attention.” So, if everyone calls your candidate “hot,” you’re in a whole mess of trouble.

The author continues to elucidate some aspects of female nature that I’ve also observed:

The fact of the matter is once a female decides it’s over with another female, it’s like an end-stage marriage. No matter how seemingly benign, every attribute becomes an affront: the hair, the voice, the husband, the moose-shooting, the glasses, the big family, the making rape victims pay for their own rape test kits.

I know, I know. With all this extra baggage a female candidate has to bear, the chances of finding a woman whom other women won’t hate seem skinnier than last year’s jeans. But don’t despair, if all else fails, we could just do what we always do and just vote in some guy. It’s worked so well for us in the past.

Now, as a Fathers Rights activist, you may be wondering how to interpret Palin. Contrary to popular opinion, most men involved with Fathers Rights don’t really have anything against women in general…or, women in power. It’s more of a protest against the American legal system and Family Court’s typical procedures.

So, why do I dislike Palin? She’s a phony. She’s right now undertaking a Rovian racist scheme to try and portray Barack Obama as an Arabic terrorist. That’s what’s really going on with the whole Ayer thing: an attempt to pull Obama out of the black community and put him in the Barrack Hussein Obama emphasized category. And, she’s a true-blue, Fundamentalist Christian nutjob who thinks of wars as reflecting God’s will.

I think it’s a safe bet she wouldn’t have particular good judgment when it comes to Fathers issues. God knows she doesn’t seem to have very good judgment concerning anything else.

PS. Is Sarah Palin really that pretty? I mean…I’m not saying that it particularly matters…but, since everybody is so busy telling me about how pretty Governor Palin is…is she such a ravishing beauty? I think she’s rather plain…and, what an annoying voice guys!

Have you guys ever listened to the band Neutral Milk Hotel? I love this band so much…now, on this blog I’m generally writing about Fathers Rights and politics and how I’m getting screwed by the American Family Court and legal system. And, that’s cool. This is a necessary outlet for a nobody navigating through the emotional hell of noncustodialness.

I don’t think that’s a legit noun: noncustodialness. When I do a search for noncustodialness only my very own Prince Daddy appears. You know, that may seem like a tiny point in and of itself; but, it’s actually very telling concerning just how ineffective the Fathers Rights movement is…

There’s a very deep power in language. A very deep power and reality is simply created by which words exist. If words for concepts don’t exist, it’s difficult to give them a reality. This gets into the whole thing about Edward Sapir and Benjamin Lee Whorf et al. And, it’s interesting stuff…it gets into the whole thing about how many words the Eskimos have for snow. If this isn’t making complete sense, just Google around for the names and the Linguistic Relativity Principle and you’ll get a feel for what I mean.

And, the fact that the word noncustodialness isn’t in our American dictionary at the moment…that means something! That speaks volumes in and of itself!

Why shouldn’t we have a noun version to characterize this painful state of being? DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT MY REALITY DOESN’T EXIST? Well, I and Alec Baldwin are here to argue differently! I was looking at Mr. Baldwin’s book today briefly, and, I take my hat off to you Mr. Baldwin!

Okay, I love this band Neutral Milk Hotel. I love the emotion these guys have. I like the song Two Headed Boy. Check out the lyrics to this song.

Two-headed boy
All floating in glass
The sun it has passed
Now it’s blacker than black
I can hear as you tap on your jar
I am listening to hear where you are
I am listening to hear where you are

Two-headed boy
Put on Sunday shoes
And dance round the room to accordion keys
With the needle that sings in your heart
Catching signals that sound in the dark
Catching signals that sound in the dark
We will take off our clothes
And they’ll be placing fingers through the notches in your spine
And when all is breaking everything that you could keep inside
Now your eyes ain’t moving now
They just lay there in their clouds

Two-headed boy
With pulleys and weights
Creating a radio played just for two
In the parlor with a moon across her face
And through the music he sweetly displays
Silver speakers that sparkle all day
Made for his lover who’s floating and choking with her hands across her face
And in the dark we will take off our clothes
And they’ll be placing fingers through the notches in your spine
And when all is breaking everything that you could keep inside
Now your eyes ain’t moving now
They just lay there in their clouds

Two-headed boy
There is no reason to grieve
The world that you need is wrapped in gold silver sleeves
Left beneath Christmas trees in the snow
And I will take you and leave you alone
Watching spirals of white softly flow
Over your eyelids and all you did
Will wait until the point when you let go

The lyrics to this song are so interesting and open to interpretation. I think the author may have intended it as a romantic love song…but, who knows…there are portions of the lyrics that remind me of noncustodialness. For example:

Two-headed boy
All floating in glass
The sun it has passed
Now it’s blacker than black
I can hear as you tap on your jar
I am listening to hear where you are
I am listening to hear where you are

This passage reminds me of a noncustodial dad that has visitation with his son. The designation “two-headed boy” is fitting because the boy has two homes and two lives. His head is in two different places. I can hear as you tap on your jar. This is when the noncustodial dad isn’t with his child. The custodial residence seems like a cage to the noncustodial dad. That’s how I view my daughter’s home. I don’t like the general ethos and lack of cultural sophistication of the residents, and, I feel my daughter is trapped there. In fact, she is trapped there. I view it as a prison. And, the dad is at his home trying to hear where his son is at.

Here’s a marvelous cover of the song done by a young woman.

PS. NONCUSTODIALNESS!
